What exactly is the Hyaluron Pen?
Hyaluron needle free injections have become the MOST trendy cosmetic treatment since 2017, however, the hyaluron pen is not a new device. The Hyaluron Pen is a rather simplistic device that allows generating enough pressure to launch Hyaluron Acid mixture into human skin. The result is less painful than a needle injection. Because of this a lot of people perfer this method because it causes less anxiety in those afraid of needles and it causes minimum bruising - if any at all!
What's the Difference Between this & Injections?
The difference between Hyaluron needless fillers and typical needle injections is the depth of the injected filler. Hyaluron pen fillers last for about an average of 3-6 months for lips before clients will need a refill. The reason why it doesn't last longer is because of the diameter of the filler that the pen injects. However, they do spread out more evenly resulting in a less "bumpy & lumpy" appearance. We are able to achieve a much more natural look compared to regular filler injections with bare minimum down time.

What exactly is Hyaluronic Acid?
HA is a natural sugar that is found within the human body. Hyaluronic Acid is the most hydrating substance in the world. It's primary function is to attract water and keep the skin hydrated, plump and youthful. Our bodies create HA naturally so it is impossible to be allergic to it! As we age, however, our bodies production of HA decreases as well as collagen fibers. This decrease causes our body to look older, resulting in loss of hydration and elasticity; therefore wrinkles form and the skin begins to sag. By adding HA into the skin we revive the collagen and promote a fresher, plumper look. HA is also the main structural element of our connective tissue.
How long do the results last?
Results will vary from person to person. However the average that you may want to come in will be between 3-6 months. Results depend on how quickly your body metabolizes the HA and the quality of the product used and the firmness of the filler. Is it Safe?
If comparing to inject-able fillers (which the Hyaluron Pen is often compared to) it is totally safe. Why? Well, the most terrible problems with injections come from blocked blood vessels. For example, filling some large areas enough and close to or in an artery with a thick enough substance can restrict Oxygen movement to the said areas and if around the eyes, for instance, can actually cause temporary or permanent blindness in the worst case. With Hyaluron Pen it is anatomically impossible to inject the substance even close to the same way, thus there are no such risks.
Is it like Botox?
No, it is absolutely not like Botox. First of all, Botox is not a filler and it is never injected into lips (however, sometimes some clients truly believe that it is). As anyone considering fillers should know, Botox is used to temporarily cut off nerve signals to some muscles, thus limiting the movements of said muscles and smoothing out the wrinkles. The Hyaluron Pen delivers a low viscosity, low elasticity filler into lips or facial skin. Two totally different tools that can sometimes solve the same problem. Is one better than the other? Well, not necessarily.
